Welcome to my blog! My name is Mrs. Hartman and I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.  This will be my 8th year teaching 3rd grade at Martic.  Although I am no stranger to the 3rd grade curriculum, I am excited to embark on a new journey and create countless memories with my new students.  I look forward to an exciting year of learning, exploration, and creativity.  Before we begin our school year, let me tell you a little about myself.

As I have mentioned before, this will be my 8th year teaching at Martic, as I am a recent graduate of Millersville University.  I also recently obtained my master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Wilkes University, and I am excited to share my knowledge of classroom technology tools with the students.  While I am not grading papers or planning lessons, I enjoy many outdoor and adventurous activities, such as hiking, rock climbing, paddleboarding, skiing, traveling, etc…  I also serve as a coach for our Girls on the Run team at Martic, and I just recently completed my 8th season coaching this awesome group of girls.  This opportunity allows me to perfectly combine my love of outdoor activities with my role as an educator.  I also have a passion for making movies, and I am excited to bring this passion into our 3rd grade classroom this year.
