We hope your day is filled with love and kindness! The students sure do know how to make the day so special!
Just a few reminders for the week:
CLARIFICATION: There was NOT spelling homework this week. In replace of spelling homework, students were asked to complete a Daily Edit writing assignment each night. **This will be the same next week.** No Spelling homework next week. Daily Edit #8 will be homework throughout the week.
Congratulations to our 4th Grade Math Bowl team – they placed 5th in the district competition yesterday! We are so proud of them!
NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 17th – We will see everyone back on Tuesday, February 18th.
Today we are at the halfway point in our Kids’ Heart Challenge. Currently, we have raised exactly almost $7,000, which means that we have to raise another $8,000 by Feb 28th. However, we have only had 97 students contribute at least $1, so we have 14 days to TRY to raise $8,000 as a school, with EVERYONE getting involved!
We will celebrate “Kids at Work” day next Friday, February 21st. Students will be invited to wear clothing that represents a career they may be interested in exploring as an adult. For example, students may come dressed as a construction worker, a doctor, a teacher, etc. As an added component to Kids at Work Day, teachers and staff will be wearing their college, military, trade-school, or past/present career attire.
Don’t forget to continue to send in Box Tops for the February Box Top Competition. 🙂
Mrs. Gwyn’s class is in need of tissue donations. We are done to our last few boxes. Thank you for your help!
