New Remote Learning Activities Posted

New assignments have been posted to the 4th Grade Remote Learning website These assignments are for this week (April 13th to the 17th). As of now, the district is still determining how grades will look for the 4th marking period. However, starting Monday, April 13th, students will be receiving credit for submitted assignments, and I will begin recording in my Sapphire gradebook when I receive submitted work. I will provide more information regarding this as it comes.

Beginning Monday, April 13th, we are asking that students try to work on these remote learning assignments for about 1 hour a day. The district suggests students work on math assignments for a total of two hours a week, reading and writing assignments for a total of two hours a week, science assignments for a total of 30 minutes a week, and social studies assignments for a total of 30 minutes a week. Please contact your child’s teacher if you are finding these assignments are taking much longer than this suggested time, and we can work together to solve that.

Please remind your child to submit their Reading/Writing (ELA) work to their homeroom teacher, their Social Studies work to Mrs. Gwyn, their Science work to Mr. Rasmus, and their math work to their math teacher. We will continue to “teach” the same subjects.

Thank you again for your patience and support as we delve into this new “phase” of learning! Just remember – “It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome.” (Quoted from William James)
