Due to unforeseen circumstances, the all-school field trip scheduled for April 3, 2019 has been moved from The Ware Center in downtown Lancaster TO The Winter Center at Millersville University.
If you have returned a permission slip that does NOT permit your child to attend, I hope that you would reconsider your child’s participating in this opportunity. If another permission slip is needed, please contact the school office at 717-872-9530.
We hope you are all enjoying yet another snow day! Because of the closure, school is now in session on Friday, May 24th.
Just a reminder that when we have a snow day, the cycle days get bumped. When we return to school, it will be a cycle day A.
Spelling – Students received new words on Tuesday. Homework will still be due on Friday. If your student left their list and homework at school, please see the “Spelling Lists” tab on the blog for needed materials.
Reading – A vocabulary sentences homework assignment was given on Tuesday. This will still be due on Friday. Directions are on the worksheet. If your child has misplaced it, feel free to email Mrs. Gwyn @ firstname.lastname@example.org.
Math – Due to the closure, students will be responsible for completing BOTH Tuesday and Wednesday on their spiral review.
***Kids at Work Day is this Friday, February 22nd. Students are encouraged to wear an outfit that represents what they would like to be when they grow up!

Our fabulous group of 4th graders represented Letort with pride today at the district-wide 4th grade Math Bowl. They placed 2nd in the competition. 🙂 Their hard work and dedication has been evident these past few weeks as they have been preparing. We are proud of you!!

This Friday is a district wide spirit day to promote the upcoming Penn Manor High School Musical, “Freaky Friday.” Roles will be reversed! Students can dress up like a teacher and the teachers will be dressing up like students! We can’t wait! Participation is optional.

Mrs. Gwyn’s class earned their teamwork reward celebration. The class voted on electronics time. This will happen on Monday, January 28th in the afternoon. Students may bring in their electronics on Monday if they are permitted. If not, laptops will be provided to any student who does not have one. 🙂
It’s two weeks until the NFL Super Bowl, and LeTort is doing its annual “Soup-er” Bowl canned soup/food collection. From now until January 31st students may bring in cans of SOUP (or any canned food) to vote for their pick to win this year’s SUPER Bowl!! Plus, join in on all the school spirit days coming up! Thurs. Jan. 31 ~ Wear any sports team jersey- last day for SOUPer bowl canned food drive! Fri. Feb.1 ~ National Wear Red for Heart Health Fri. Feb. 8 ~ Freaky Friday: Kids dress like adults and the adults dress like kids to support this year’s PMHS play: Freaky Friday.
