Monday, May 4

  • This Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. we are taking a virtual field trip to our classroom! 🙂 Instead of an all 4th grade Google Meet, we will be meeting with just our class. Together we will clean out your desks and cubbies (me actually; you virtually). Access the link found in the Science Google Classroom purple box to join me.
  • Also, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, Mrs. Ochs’s, and my “office hours” will change to the afternoon (Mrs. Ochs from 2:00-2:15 p.m. and Mrs. Graham from 2:15 to 2:30 p.m.) We are testing the new time to see if more students join. Mrs. Graham’s book share will be 2:30-2:40 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • FYI: the writing assignment this week can be found in Google Classroom Reading and is to be sent to Mrs. Graham. Also, make sure you do the reading assignments in order –Parts 1, 2, and 3.
  • Check on the PM Remote Learning site for the specialists’ (music, PE, art, applied engineering) activities for each week.
  • If you are in need of a relaxing moment or two, check this out: Jellyfish Aquarium • 3 HOURS
  • This week’s online learning assignments are posted in our Google Classroom and begin with May 4-8. Please ONLY access the assignments from our Google Classroom; not the district remote learning site. You have until Sunday evening to complete THIS week’s assignments.
  • This week we have made a copy of the assignments for each student in Google Classroom, so there is no need to “make a copy” as instructed. Students will be able to type or draw right on the documents, then just return them to your teacher.  This is a helpful video to explain that process:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9rWfgFVAEg If not able to use Google Classroom, students are also allowed to submit assignments in the ways that have been working for them.

  • Parents & students may check on Sapphire to see if assignments have been submitted and received by her/his teacher. A capital R will appear in the assignment window.

Mrs. Ochs and I are providing Google Meet times during office hours Monday through Thursday so students and parents can talk to us directly if they have questions about assignments or need instruction.
