Bat day was a success! We had so much fun learning and reading about bats and echolocation. My favorite part of the day was singing the “vowel bat” song with the kids to the tune of Batman. I heard many echos of “This was the best day of my life.” Aren’t first graders wonderful?

There is a PTO meeting at 6:30 in the library. To kick off our “wild, wild, west” themed book fair, feel free to send the kids to school dressed in their jeans, flannels, boots etc…
Tuesday, Nov. 7 – We have Music.
New spelling lists will come home (This is a date change from my original post)
We will shop at the book fair today at 2:10 PM. If you would like your son/daughter to shop for books, please send money to school in an envelope labeled with a name and 1T. There are so many good books to choose from this year.
Wednesday, Nov. 8 – We have applied engineering.

Please remember to look through your house for gently used (or new) hats, coats, mittens, scarves and sweaters. Donations may be dropped off at Eshleman for the Gregory Frey Memorial Coat Drive.
