Mrs. Foster is going to come in during Content to make a computer generated map of where we each live.  Students will practice saying their address and typing some of it to help create the map.

Tuesday, 12/5 – We have Music.  We’ll have a spelling and Storytown tests today.  Mrs. Mayberry and Calvin will be in to read with us.  We’ll have a Mystery Reader!

Wednesday, 12/6 – We have Applied Engineering and a Math test on chapter 3.   We’ll get new spelling words.

We’re going to explore the X-tra Math website.  This is a free sight for students to practice their Math fact fluency.  I have individual codes to send home with the class.  You’ll be able to access our classroom website and log in from home using your child’s individual code.  This is an optional activity at home.

Please send library books to school for book exchange tomorrow.

Thursday, 12/7 – We have Phys. Ed and book exchange.

We’ll begin chapter 4 in math – Subtraction strategies

Friday, 12/8 – We have Art.  A Mystery reader will come in to read to the class.  Today is mid marking period.  Time flies and the kids are learning so much and we’re having fun!

There are plenty of choices for homework each night even if we don’t have a Math paper to complete.  Studying spelling words, Math facts, or sight words is always a good option, along with reading the book in your child’s reading folder.  It can be overwhelming for some kids to complete all of these tasks in one evening.  Pick and choose something each night.  We don’t want homework to be a battle or take up all of your family time in the evening!  Thanks for your support!
