We’re looking for some Community Helpers

Do you know someone who could come in to talk to us about their job as a community helper?  A mail carrier, nurse, dentist, doctor, weatherman, construction worker, chef  etc…  I know 52 first graders who would love to hear about all of the people who help us in and around Millersville.  Please contact me if you can give us a lead!  Thanks!

December Already!

Time is flying by!  I can feel the excitement in the air!  Our class earned a reward for completing all of the pieces of Mrs. Potato Head.  My friends chose to have a “snow party.”  So get ready, parents.  The next time we have snow on the ground I’m going to ask the kids to wear their snow boots and winter coats and gloves to school so we can play outside in the snow together!  I’ll send a paper home letting you know when it will be, but you may only have one day notice!
Feel free to send in Pizza Hut reading logs all next week.  Thanks for reading at home with your kids!

Mystery Readers

If you would like to come in to surprise your student and read a book to our class, please feel free to email me.  Mystery readers usually read a story that takes no more than 10 minutes.  Choosing a favorite book that you enjoy reading with your child is always a hit with the class!  Great times for us to have a mystery reader are 10:30-11:00 am or from 2:00-2:30 pm.  We can be flexible if these times don’t suit your schedule!  If you provide me with 3 clues before you arrive, I’ll read them to the class so they can try to guess who you may be!  Contact me at Wendy. to sign up.  Grandparents, special friends, and older siblings are welcome to come in too!

Welcome Back!  I loved hearing all of the stories about your adventures during our break!
