Monthly Archives: August 2019

Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 28 is meet the teacher night at Eshleman. Your family is invited to drop in tomorrow between 4-6 to see our classroom, look around our room, and meet the teachers. We look forward to seeing you!

Welcome back Eshleman Family!

This year we are focusing on Eshleman as a community and family. We are asking that each family bring in a family bring in a family picture to hang in the hallway. The picture will not be returned. Please send a picture (or a copy of a photo) with your child to school by September 13th.

Ask the kids to tell you about the special home grown snack we had today. It came from our very own Eshleman garden. Hint – it’s orange and bunnies like to eat them!

What a fun first week!

WOW – we learned a lot this week! We are getting to know one another, learning our school rules, making a craft, learning how to organize our supplies, and today we played wack a mole! Next week we’ll begin learning the 3 ways to read a book, and we’ll practice some number writing.

Please continue to check the kids’ “froggy folder” each night for any papers that may need to be returned to school. I’m missing a few sets of papers that Dr. Cox sent home over the summer, so please be sure to send those to school ASAP.

Next week we have 4 days of school. Thursday is an early dismissal day! Our week looks like this:

Monday, August 26 – Our special is Art. Feel free to send in your child’s “all about me bag” if you haven’t already. We’ll share a few of these each day.

Tuesday, August 27 – Our special is Applied Engineering

Wednesday, August 28 – Our special is Music. Your family is invited to visit our classroom from 4-6 PM tonight! I’d love for you to stop in and say hello!

Thursday, August 29 – Today is a 1:30 early dismissal day. Please contact the school office with any transportation changes. We have phys. ed today. Please send the kids to school wearing sneakers and comfy clothing.

Friday, August 30 – No school for students

Monday, September 2 – No school for students
