Our National Symbols projects have gotten a lot of praise and compliments! This week we will be sending those projects home with students. If you feel the project is too big or unstable to send home on their own please make arrangements with the office and myself to pick them up.

Content-Science:
This week we have wrapped up our science unit on solids, liquids and gasses. We conducted some science experiments such as skittle and water, recording the properties of chex mix and comparing if various items will become a mixture or a solution when placed in water.
Next week we will be starting our social studies unit on economics
There will be a note coming home today regarding a personal safety lesson taught by our guidance counselor Mrs. Semple. If you would like to excuse your child from the lesson please send a written note to the school for Mrs. Semple. I have attached a copy of the letter below.

This week we have continued our science unit on solids, liquids and gasses. We conducted some science experiments such as the raisin dance, melting and freezing hershey chocolate kisses and using the scientific method.
Next week we will continue using experiments to talk about mixtures versus solutions.
