This week the students will learn about the islands, peninsula, oceans, and different streams of water.

Next week we will be learning about continents; what animals and oceans are near each, and the weather conditions.

This week we start our geography unit with landforms. Students learned the difference between mountains, glaciers, volcanoes, valleys, canyons and three different plains.

Next week students will learn about the islands, peninsula, oceans, and different streams of water.

We had fun yesterday practicing our new spelling and vocabulary words from lesson 2!

Spelling and Reading Tests for lesson 1 will be on Tuesday September 13th.

Today your students came home with a reading and spelling guide which has our vocabulary words, spelling words and various skills we will be learning from lesson 1. We expect for our students to practice their spelling words at home. They took a pretest today which will help give an idea on what words they should practice.
