Another Wonderful Week in Fifth Grade!

Hello 5th Grade Martic Families,

Since we are starting our fifth week of school,  we wanted to share a few reminders with you:

  • Please remember new spelling words are given to your child each Monday, and spelling tests are given on Fridays.
  • Please encourage your child to read 15 to 20 minutes a night.

Curriculum News This Week:

In Reading class this week our Focus Skills are character’s motives and vocabulary strategies/using words in context.

Students our analyzing and identifying the four types of sentences in English Language Arts, as well as, writing complete sentences.

In Math class we are working with Distributive Properties, Multiplying by one and two digit factors, and reviewing for our Chapter 2 test that we will be taking at the end of this week.   Also, students should be reviewing math vocabulary daily.

We are looking forward to another great week!

    Thank you for making the workload manageable and consistent. My son is much more receptive to taking on challenges when he can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
