Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, students will be placed in one of several “Government Readers’ Theaters”.  Each group will cooperate to designate parts, practice their fluency, and make/brainstorm props in order to bring their readers’ theater to life!  If possible, we will begin our performances, to the rest of the class, on Thursday and then continue on Friday. Keep staying in a growth mindset readers and writers…YOU ROCK!!!

Spelling: Your child received his/her spelling homework packet today. She/he knows that the packet is due on Thursday and that our test is on Friday.

Math: This week in math we will start Monday off by completing our final benchmark test of the year. Tuesday and Wednesday we will complete our review of data with a final project involving bar graphs, line graphs, and pictographs. Thursday we will begin previewing 6th-grade material, and work on GCF and LCM again, as well as prime factorization. On Friday we will wrap up the week by learning about ratios, and the different ways we can express a ratio. Keep up the hard work in math fifth graders!
