Week of October 12th…

Hi, Martic 5th Grade Families,

I hope that you all enjoyed the weekend and were able to relax and unwind. Here are some things coming down the pike this week in 5th grade. As we complete them, we’ll be stretching our brain and making it stronger!

Curriculum News:

Reading:  We are finishing up reviewing the key parts of a text-dependent analysis essay and writing our introductory paragraph.  We will then be using our prior knowledge and context clues to figure out the meaning of our new vocabulary words.  I know you’ll keep working hard 5th graders and staying in a growth mindset!  YOU ROCK!!!

Spelling: Your child will be working through lesson 5, for spelling, this week online.

Mathematicians are hard at work in the multiplication unit. This week we will be learning two strategies to estimate products and also two strategies to multiply two-digit by two-digit numbers. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for your support and have a wonderful week!

Mrs. Eby 🙂
