Hi 5th grade Martic Families,
I hope that this post finds you and yours all doing well! Here are some of the activities that we’ll be engaging with to strengthen our brain this week.
Curriculum News:
Reading: So far this week in reading, we watched, read, analyzed, and discussed a news interview with the youngest person to climb Mt.Everest, Jordan Romero! We will then be reading, analyzing, marking up, and restating a TDA prompt that goes along with this interview. Readers and writers… I know that you will continue to stretch and strengthen your brains while staying in a growth mindset! Way to go!
Spelling: Your child received her/his spelling homework packet. He/she knows that it is due on Thursday morning and that our test is on Friday.
In math this week we will be continuing our multiplying and dividing decimals unit, focusing more on dividing decimals. Next week, we will take our unit 6 test. Keep up the great work mathematicians!
Reminders: This Friday, January 29th, the children will be dismissed at 1:30.
