Week of April 12th…

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you are all doing well, had a nice weekend and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather this past Saturday! Here’s what’s coming down the pike this week!

Curriculum News:

Reading:  This week, and over the past couple of weeks, readers and writers have been busily reviewing many reading concepts.  They are as listed:  main idea and details, different types of text structures, figures of speech/figurative language, cause and effect relationships, fact versus opinion, and homophones using context clues. I know that our 5th graders will continue to stay in a growth mindset and to give 150% effort!  Way to go!!!

Spelling: Your child was given this week’s spelling list and homework packet today. She/he is aware that the packet is due Thursday and that our test is on Friday.

Math: Mathematicians are hard at work during our 10th math unit. This week we will finish multiplying and dividing fractions. Our unit 10 test will be on Friday 4/16. Keep up the great work mathematicians!

Thank you for your support!

Mrs. Eby:-)
