Week of March 14th…

Hello, Everyone!

I can’t believe that we have already hit the middle of March! I’m hoping that this past Saturday’s snow is the last of it for the winter. Keep reading to find out about a couple of things that we’ll be working on this week to make our brains stronger!

Curriculum News:

Reading With Mrs. Eby: Our 5th-grade readers and writers have been hard at work reading, analyzing, and identifying the main idea of different passages.  We will wrap this up early in the week and move into reading, analyzing, and differentiating between the main idea and theme/life lesson of the same passage.  I know that we will all stay in a growth mindset!!!

Spelling: We are not doing a spelling unit this week, so your child doesn’t have a homework packet due on Thursday or a test on Friday.

Math with Miss Miller: Fifth graders are loving our eleventh unit, measurement. So far, we have learned how to convert customary units of length, capacity, and weight. This week we will shift our focus and learn how to convert metric units of length, capacity, and mass. Keep working hard fifth graders!

Reminders: This Friday, March 18th, is a 1:30 dismissal.

Thank you for all of your support and have a wonderful week!

Mrs. Eby 🙂
