Hello, Everyone!
I hope that you and yours had a relaxing weekend! Keep reading to see what we are cooking up in fifth grade that will make our brains STRONGER!
Curriculum News:
Reading with Mrs. Eby: While staying in a growth mindset, fifth graders began working through our unit 4 reading assessment today. Way to go fifth-grade readers and writers! Tomorrow, we will complete this activity and launch into unit 5. Students will be examining information from non-fiction texts in order to identify the difference between a position and a point/claim on a topic.
Spelling: Your child received her/his spelling list and homework packet today. He/she is aware that the homework packet is due on Thursday morning. Also, she/he knows that the spelling test will be given on Friday morning.
Math with Miss Miller: At the end of last week, we began our tenth math unit: multiplying and dividing fractions. This week we will focus on multiplying fractions and mixed numbers. Your fifth grader will have a few review problems for homework on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Keep up the great work, fifth grade!
Thank you for your constant support, and have a wonderful week!
Mrs. Eby š
