The end of the school year is best summed up by these words; so many events, so little time.
This coming Friday, May 13th, is the only day that kindergarten is on a different schedule for the rest of this school year. This Friday there is no afternoon kindergarten and morning kindergarten comes from 9-1:30. Parents of morning kindergarten students are invited to join us this Friday, May 13th at 12:45 for “Countdown to First Grade.” There is still time to sign up. We would love to see all of you there.
All school days through the end of the year are on a regular schedule with special events happening on three days.
1. Race for Education on Friday May, 20th- Parents and grandparents are invited to come and cheer us on during this event, which is next Friday, May 20th. The race takes place on the fields to the right of the school. Please bring a chair or a blanket to sit on. See below for our run times.
2. Kindergarten Celebration on Wednesday, June 1st-Parents and family members are invited to come celebrate the end of kindergarten with us. Morning Kindergarten will celebrate at 10:30 am and afternoon kindergarten will celebrate at 2:00 pm
3. Beach Day on Thursday June 2nd- This is just for students. You will be receiving more information about this day. We will need help and also a few snacks. This is also the last kindergarten day of school this year.
This May is especially busy for me. In case you haven’t heard, I am going to be a Grandma! Well, I will be GiGi. We are expecting Adelaide (Addie) to be born May 22nd. Of course you know what they say about the best laid plans.
With that said I will be out May 23-May 30. It is my goal to be back for the last 3 days of kindergarten. Mrs. Tuel will be teaching in my place. She has been an important part of your child’s school day all year. Please direct all questions and/or information to Mrs. Tuel that week. Her email is sara.tuel@pennmanor.net. Please do not send messages to Mrs. Tuel through Seesaw, as she will be unable to read them. I will occasionally check messages while I am off, but if you want to be sure your message is read please email it to Mrs. Tuel.
The birth of my first grandchild has also brought about a decision to retire. Many of you may have already heard about my retirement, but I wanted to personally share the news. June 3rd will be the last day I will be working for Penn Manor. I am going to relocate to Ohio and live closer to my daughter and her family. I will miss being a part of this wonderful community and can only pray that the new community will be just as caring.

Celebrate Hambright– This is a schoolwide event and takes place in the evening. Information was sent home yesterday with more information. Volunteers are needed to help make this event successful.
