This is a reminder that all students helping to make apple dumplings should report the PMHS Cafeteria no later than 7:30 am on Friday, October 24th. (If you took orders, you’re expected to help. If you cannot personally attend – someone else, such as a parent, can take your place.)
Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable, can get a little messy, short-sleeves (washing dishes, etc), and to tie back your hair in a ponytail/bun. You also need to pack a lunch! Everyone must stay until the work is done, and we’ll eat in shifts.
If you sold dumplings to PM faculty and staff – please check to see if they will be in the HS building on Friday so that their dumplings can be delivered that afternoon immediately. (Any staff who won’t be here to get their dumplings will be put in refrigerators around the building – we have labels & will do that at the end of the day.)
All other dumplings MUST remain at the HS to cool off until later in the afternoon. (They can’t be transported until covered – can’t be covered until cooled.) Mrs. Mintzer will be in the cafeteria from 4:30-6:30 to pick up your order.
When you deliver your dumplings to your customers, you must collect payment. On Tuesday, October 28th – we don’t have a full club meeting for ITS – but you will be allowed to leave homeroom for a quick trip to the auditorium lobby to drop off your payment. Teachers who ordered from you, need to turn in their payment to you. That is necessary for the record-keeping process!
TOTS-EAT: If we have extra apple dumplings, we will sell some at the game on Friday night, and circulate through the stands asking for monetary donations for our food drive. Please plan to arrive by 6:00 and stay through halftime (approx 8:30.)
TOTS-EAT – part 2: Darrenkamp’s in Willow Street has allowed us to set up a stand outside their store to ask customers for additional food drive donations. We’ll be there from 12-3, but we don’t need a huge number of student helpers (we’re required to have one adult for every 3 students). If you signed up during club, we expect you to be there. Thanks!
