If you are interested in auditioning for an onstage role in our fall play, Twelve Angry Jurors, then you need to be prepared for next week!
Auditions will be held from 4-6 pm in the HS auditorium. Students need to sign up to be in a 20 minute time slot in groups of 5. You should also prepare a 1 – 1:30 minute monologue (no more than 2 minutes – we will cut you off!) and then you’ll read some scenes with the others in your group.
You may choose your own monologue – but it must be school-appropriate, and timed properly to get everything done within the 20 minute time slot allotted.
There is a bunch of paperwork that you’ll also need to complete – you can sign up for an audition time, and pick up papers in room 209 during the school day. Here’s the list of paperwork:
-Audition form (signed by a parent)
-Code of Conduct (required by PMSD, once per year, per student)
-Drug Screening Consent form (if not already in the system)
-Parent Survey (we need their help)
-Parental Clearances – these get submitted to the district office. Mrs. Mintzer can provide packets of info so that all parents of theatre kids are listed in the district database for volunteers once the process has been completed by your parents.
