I can’t believe we’ve almost made it to the finish line! I’m so proud of you for all of the work that you did during this crazy time at home! The support that I’ve received is very much appreciated and will be remembered for a lifetime! Learning takes teamwork and while I would have much rather been in the classroom with your child teaching them, I’m thankful for the wonderful partnerships that have only been made stronger and the team that has been built for your child’s success. Keep fostering your child’s learning and they will continue to be met with great success both now and well into the future!
Next week’s activities are overarching concepts to review. These are concepts that your child should have mastered before heading into first grade. You do not need to submit the activities for my review. You can work on them next week, as well as, during the summer months, if you so desire.
* Look for an email from me that includes a photo collage of your child from the special events that took place in Kindergarten. You will also find out who your child’s first-grade teacher will be in this email.
* On Tuesday, May 26th from 3-7pm, you may pick up student belongings at school. Please refer to this post for additional details.
* On Wednesday, May 27th at 10am, we will have our Goodbye Kindergarten Google Meet. The students will be able to share their favorite memory from kindergarten or something that they enjoyed and say goodbye to their teachers and friends! 🙁 You will need to use this meet code to join the meeting: meet.google.com/kqb-xmwz-rkq.
* On Thursday, May 28th at 9:30am, your child will meet the first-grade teachers. The move-up event will allow the students to see the first-grade teachers and interact with them virtually. You will need to use this meet code to join the meeting: meet.google.com/ipv-mvok-nwd. Remember, your child’s teacher will be in the email with their photo collage. 🙂
