So who is Mrs. Moyer OUTSIDE of school?
I live in Millersville with my three boys: my husband Matt, Jameson (7) and Camden (4). My parents moved to Lancaster a few years ago. I have two older brothers–Aaron, his wife, and their 2 children live in Philadelphia, and Brian, his wife, and 2 children live in Wrightsville. I went to college at Millersville University for my undergraduate degree and I have my masters in Education from Alvernia University. I also have a second masters in Educational Leadership and Administration and Principals/Supervisory certification from Millersville University. I LOVE to be a student just as much as I love teaching students! I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to completely stop going to school.
When we have free time, we love to take little trips to Bed and Breakfasts all over the North Eastern states. We go swimming a lot and visit my brothers occasionally too. Jameson and Cam occupy a lot of our time! We love teaching them new things and watching them learn and grow. It’s so fun to watch them change and see how different their personalities are! We love to go to my husband’s softball games, go out to eat with friends, and anything active and sports related outside. During the summer we like to spend time at the beach. Hilton Head, S.C. is our favorite! I love to cook and bake, crochet and knit. My two sons are just getting involved in sports (baseball, swim team, soccer, basketball…) so we are spending a lot of time watching them enjoy learning new sports with new friends!
I LOVE Philadelphia Sports teams and Super Hero movies. I’m looking forward to a good season with the Eagles and Flyers. Jameson has now started supporting his Daddy’s favorite team–the Atlanta Falcons :(. I also love watching the Orioles–Our son Camden was named after Camden Yards!
After teaching 4 years of 3rd grade, I found my “home” with 5th graders (and I’ve stayed with them for 7 years now!). This age group is by far my favorite to work with. I love their curiosities and enthusiasms for learning, but their sense of humor cannot be beat. Fifth grade was my favorite Elementary School grade, and we try to make your year with us one of the best at LeTort. I promise it won’t be easy, but if you work hard and give us your best effort, you will have a year that you won’t forget! Many surprises and exciting events in store throughout the year–you won’t want to miss a thing!!
