A new tradition has been started with the Penn Manor Throwers! Every year, there will be a competition to find out who the best all-around thrower is! This will be done in the form of a thrower’s triathalon! All athletes will be given the opportunity to throw the javelin, discus and shot put. Three attempts will be measured, and the best mark will be used to record the overall score. The following website is used to calculate the scores once the distances have been obtained: http://www.cheshireaa.com/statistics/CEscoring2.htm#Throws_Pentathlon_
Over the years, we will keep track of the winners and their scores.
For the first ever triathalon, the winners were as follows:
Boys:
2013: Drew Myers Score: 1459
Girls
2013: Betsey Wenger Score: 929
LOVE THIS!! Great idea!
