Effective August 27, 2012

  • All medication, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, require the written permission of the prescribing physician and the parent or guardian.
  • THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THE ABOVE is for over-the-counter Ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil) and Acetaminophen (Tylenol), which the nurse may dispense with the written permission of the parent/guardian. Our school doctor’s standing orders will be used instead of a note from the child’s physician.  The parent must supply the medication to be kept in the health room.
  • Per PMSD school board policy- students may not transport ANY medications except emergency auto injectors, inhalers and prescription eye drops.
