Field Trip Tomorrow!!

Please report to block 1 tomorrow before school. We will then meet in the cafeteria by 7:50. We will be boarding our bus to Long’s Park from the lower entrance to the cafeteria. Remember to dress for the weather. It has now changed and there is a chance of rain. If this would happen we would wait it out under the pavilion but wear old shoes in case the ground is wet. You may also want to pack an extra jacket or sweatshirt. If you have work gloves, please bring those as well. There are never enough gloves!

For lunch I will be bringing waters and chips/pretzels for everyone. I will also have coolers that you can put your lunch in. We will leave these at the pavilion so please don’t pack any valuables. A brown bag lunch would be great.

E-mail me with any questions. I am optimistic it’s going to be a great day!!

Scholarship information

Each year the Lancaster Sertoma and the Serteen club recognize deserving seniors who have achieved distinction through their service to both the school and the community. The Serteen and Sertoma organizations together give three scholarships: Service to School and Community, Service to Mankind, and the Inspiration Award. Please complete the attached form and turn in to Miss Stover or Mrs. Kroesen ASAP!

Alyssa Schriver, a former PM students and active Serteen member, has also created a scholarship. The students applying for this scholarship should embody the idea of school spirit. They should participate in multiple school- related activities promoting community and camaraderie. The choices may include (but not limited to) athletics, clubs, and community involvement, as well as other productive endeavors.   The applicant must maintain academic rigor while balancing the involvement in multiple activities. This scholarship is open to all senior students. Priority will be given to members who have completed the Attollo program and members of the Serteen Club that have served a minimum of two years with the organization.

Blood Drive is Tomorrow!!

Here is the link for those students who signed up to help.

A BIG thank you to Elise, Charlene, Amanda, and Neel who offered to come in at 6:45 to help unload the truck. We will meet at the doors to the right of the Central Complex entrance.

There are still open slots!! Please continue to spread the word. If anyone shows up tomorrow with a signed permission slip to donate, we can fit them in around 12:30 or 1pm to donate. That means you, too! You can also ask your teachers to donate as well!

Blood Drive

We will be having a school-wide assembly on Tuesday. Therefore we will not be able to have an all-club meeting. However we need to have students sign up to work shifts during our blood drive the following Tuesday, March 19th. Please click on the link below if you are able to help. Remember that you are responsible for all the work you miss in your classes. You should also check with your teachers prior to signing up. You jobs will include checking people in, explaining the donation process, and running small errands.

Readathon Update

The program is going great so far!! I’ve gotten so many positive comments from parents, teachers, and the kids themselves. They are loving it because those of you running it have been doing a FANTASTIC job.

WE STILL NEED MORE HELP THOUGH!!! Please consider helping TODAY at Hambright from 3:30-4:30. We also need more people next Thursday, March 14th at Martic, Tuesday the 19th at Eshleman, and Thursday the 21st at Martic. I will be driving the school van so you do not need to get your own transportation!

Way to go on the Winter Formal!!

Everyone who helped decorate, sell tickets, and man tables at the Winter Formal did a great job! I hope you all had fun in the process. The decorations looked great and I really appreciate the fact that you wanted to try a new theme and you worked hard to make it happen. Hopefully next year we won’t have to deal with postponing the dance and canceling club when we need to prepare!

Now we need to vote on where to give our charitable donation. We have voted to give Mini-thon and the Four Diamonds Fund $500. Please look at the rest of these options and be ready to give some input at club on Tuesday. The advisory council will then vote at their next meeting.
