Teen Workshop:

Students interested in writing or the arts, this announcement is for you! The Lancaster Public Library and the Scholastic Art Awards exhibition will host “The Power of Collaboration”- A free teen workshop that demonstrates the power of writers and artists working together. This opportunity will give students a real-world experience about how teen writers and artists can make an impact in the lives of others. The event will take place Saturday, March 17 from 1-3pm. The workshop is open for students grades 9-12. For more information on this event, stop by the counseling office today!

Hospice Volunteering:

Need volunteer hours? Or plan on working in the medical field? Hospice of Lancaster County is holding teen volunteer training for teens ages 15-18 on Saturday, March 10 from 9am to 12:30 pm. ALSF:
11th and 12th grade students this announcement is for you! Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is hosting a leadership camp this summer at Villanova University.Participating students will learn how to become motivated leaders and make a difference in their own communities.To apply for the Leadership Academy stop by the counseling office to pick up an application today! PFEW:
Any Sophomores or Juniors interested in a future in business, listen up! Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week 2012 is a chance for students to be part of an executive management team responsible for turning an “imaginary company” into a financial success through many different types of business strategies. If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity stop by the counseling office to pick up a pass to attend a meeting with a representative from PFEW before February 16th.

Save the date! Seniors, the following information is directed towards you. The Lancaster County Career Technology Center is offering three workshops for undecided seniors and their parents to learn more about the financial aid process, earning a degree through a technical school and much more. Workshops take place April 3rd, 4th, and 5th. More information is available in the Career Opportunities folder in the counseling office. Stop by today!

 

Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Opportunity

Are you interested in environmental science? Or simply like being outdoors, then this announcement is for you! The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources invites you to join them for a free summer camp, beginning July 8th. Students will receive hands-on experience in areas such as wildlife conservation,stream sampling of aquatic life, and forestry skills. Deadline to apply is April 1st.
