United States Service Academy Information Session

10th and 11th graders who are in the top 20th percentile of their class and who are interested in attending the Air Force Academy, Naval Academy, Merchant Marine and Coast Guard Academies or the U.S Military Academy at West Point should consider attending an upcoming information session.

Senator Patrick Toomey and Congressman Charles Dent invite you to a U.S. Service Academy Information Day on Saturday April 2nd from 9am-12pm at Hamburg H.S.

This presentation will provide students the opportunity to speak with representatives of academies such as the Air Force, Naval, Merchant Marine and Coast Guard Academies, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the R.O.T.C. CAREER INFORMATION SESSIONS

PROTECTIVE SERVICES

The Protective Services Panel will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from

9-11 AM at the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center, 101 Champ Blvd, Manheim, Pa 17545 (rooms 102 & 103). Last year we had police officers from Lancaster City, Manheim Township, PA State police, Lancaster City detective, Lancaster City fire department, and an EMT instructor from the CTC.

 

CONSTRUCTION TRADES

The Construction Trades panel will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from

9-11 AM in room 112 at Liberty Place, 313 W. Liberty Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.  Panelists will include a civil engineer, greenhouse supervisor, and someone from Herr and Sacco Mechanical Contracting         ( welding).

 

INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION LINE

The industrial/production line panel will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from

9-11 AM in room 112 at Liberty Place, 313 W. Liberty Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Panelists will be from RR Donnelley, Supervalu, and High Company.

 

HUMAN SERVICES

The Human Services panel will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 9-11 AM in room 112 at Liberty Place, 313 W. Liberty Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.  Panelists will be a Head Start Director, psychologist, and Compass Mark Youth Services representative.

 

Penn State Hershey’s mini-medical School!

ahsdxAre you a student who is in interested in pursuing a career in science or medicine? Penn State of Medicine is offering their mini-medical school where students will be able to attend educational sessions on advances in health-care a variety of topics that are related to the latest medical research. This includes topics such as ebola, breast cancer and psychiatry. Penn State’s mini-medical school is at no cost to participants and will begin on March 8th, 2016 at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Nurses, science and health teachers have claimed to strongly benefited from this program and is a wonderful opportunity for students to develop their knowledge!

Huge College Fair to be held on MU Campus over 150 Schools to attend!

Attention Juniors,

The Counseling Department will be hosting a trip to the PACAC’s College Fair at Millersville University on March 10th.  The fair will be hosting schools from across the country and is a great opportunity for students to make personal connections with future schools.

Field Trip Request Forms will be located in the Counseling Department.  These must be turned in by March 1st!

This trip is at no cost to students and parents are strongly encouraged to come  at their convenience to help their children along with the process.
