Parents and students are invited to attend Penn Manor Education Day on November 5th 

Over 110 admission counselors will be in the East Gym from 10:50-1:10 representing two and four year colleges, technical, nursing and business schools, and military branches. 

This is a great opportunity to learn about entrance requirements, financial aid, campus life and academic programs.

College Information Event with Columbia, Swarthmore, SUNY Binghamton, and U of Maryland

Columbia University, Swarthmore College, SUNY Binghamton and the University of Maryland will be traveling together in Southern Pennsylvania to meet with students, families and counselors. As members of the Coalition for College, they will be discussing resources and tools offered by the Coalition as well as sharing general admissions information and financial aid policies about each institution. Deadline to apply to MU online, October 17th *Select “fee waiver” and enter code JBFWID19

Deadline to sign up with PMHS Counseling office by October 17th

You do not need to pay the application fee.  Check off the “waiver” box to waive the application fee. Signing up online with the PMHS Counseling office for this event serves as your waiver.

What is Admissions Decision Day? 

Admissions Decision Day means that a student will meet one-on-one with an Admissions rep here at Penn Manor High School. During this one-on-one meeting the student will find out if he/she got into the university. *Art and Music Majors will require an additional review process. In that case, the Admissions rep at the event will explain the process to the students and provide feedback on their application. Dress nicely for the event, you will be meeting with the admissions representatives. Dress to impress!

Application Tips:

  1. Dress clean and professionally on the day of the event to meet with the admissions reps
  2. Bring a copy of your first marking period report card and/or letters of recommendations if you need that additional competitive edge or need to supplement for low grades in the past.

Test Scores: If you already have your test results, the PMHS Counselors will provide it if you have signed-up online. If you are schedule to take them in the future, please request your SAT through www.collegeboard.org and/or ACT scores through www.act.org

Transcripts: If you have signed up online, the PMHS Counselors will provide it to the college if you have signed-up online.

The Dual Enrollment meeting for students interested in taking a course this SPRING 2019 will be held during homeroom (10:20-11:20) this Tuesday, October 30th in the LIBRARY.  A representative from Millersville University and HACC will present information about dual enrollment courses.

Financial Aid Night 10/11

On Thursday October 11th students, parents and guardians are invited to the high school auditorium at 6:00 PM to learn how to apply for all types of financial aid, including completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required to determine eligibility for most student aid programs.

Plan on attending this informative session sponsored by the PHEAA (Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency) and the Counseling office.
