Media Immersion Day at Misericordia University

Do you have an interest in a media-related career? Would you like the opportunity to learn about the field AND practice producing a real media piece? If so, join the Department of Mass Communications and Design at Misericordia University on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 9am-1pm for a day of learning and experience. You will have the opportunity to learn about newspaper writing and reporting, video production and editing, graphic design and production, and photojournalism and DSLR camera skills. These workshops are free to attend and include breakfast and lunch. Attending this event can also be used as the career shadowing component of your graduation project. To register, email

FAFSA Completion Night: Thursday, December 13th

You and your parent/guardian are invited to attend the FAFSA completion lab on December 13th at 6pm in the high school library.  A representative from PHEAA (Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency) will be here to assist in the completion and submission of your application for financial aid.  

Please have your parent email to reserve a seat at the lab.

Things you will need to complete your FAFSA

·      FSA ID (Create at You and your parent/guardian should each create one for electronically signing the FAFSA.  

·      Student Laptop

·      Social Security number

·      Driver’s license

·      W-2 Forms

·      Records of other untaxed income received, including workers’ compensation, child support, payments to tax deferred pension and saving plans.  

·      Your federal income tax return from the prior -prior year.

·      Your current bank statements and records of sticks, bonds and other               investments.
