College Admissions From A-to-Z: Ace Your Application Process (And Stay Stress Free)
Real Talk is a virtual college exploration initiative designed to connect Black students and families with Black representatives from colleges and access organizations across the country. Real Talk events were created to provide Black students and their families with the tools they need to feel confident about planning for life after high school. This two-night event will give them an opportunity to compare colleges, hear advice on standing out during the admissions process, learn about special scholarships that can make college more affordable, and get top questions answered directly from the experts.

Registration is now open for our Virtual College Fair! Sign-up to virtually connect with colleges and universities from around the country for free. During the Virtual College Fair, you will have the chance to hear from many different colleges. You can choose which colleges you want to hear from by registering for their sessions. You and your family can ask questions of the college representatives throughout the presentations too! Each program will start with a college knowledge session: April 19 – Ask a Counselor April 27 – Financial Aid
Now is a great time to begin your college planning! Join the Counseling Department for a Field trip to the PACAC Lancaster College Fair on Tuesday, March 15 from 9:30 am until 11:20 am. The fair will take place at Thaddeus Stevens College. Field Trip forms are available in the Counseling office and Juniors Google Classroom. Forms must be returned by February 25, 2022. Cost is free and space is limited. Masks are required for the bus and in the buildings of the college.
This trip is best suited for Juniors and undecided Seniors.

Parents and students are invited to attend Penn Manor Education Day on November 1st, 2021. Over 100 admission representatives will be here from two and four year colleges, technical, nursing and business schools in the East Gym. This is a great opportunity to speak to admission counselors and ask questions about the various Career Preparatory Programs and Colleges from around the East Coast. Learn about entrance requirements, financial aid, campus life and academic programs. NEW additions include local workforces sharing career information and job opportunities.
The event time will be 11:15am -1:15pm- during Block 3 and lunches.
Parents are welcome and can enter through the main office.

The journey will begin before high school and end in the land of education loan repayment – or maybe even education loan forgiveness. One thing is for certain: it’s never too early to start preparing for a successful higher education experience. This 1 hour presentation will provide the starting points and web resources- for effective research before, during and after your student makes post secondary decisions. Knowing what to expect and to plan for it is the key. Failing to plan, is planning to fail!
