Online Language Opportunity

I wanted to make you aware of a unique opportunity our gifted students have here at the HS. Mrs. Bookman has sponsored college language classes through a distance learning arrangement with Seton Hill University for quite a few years. These courses can be taken at PMHS as a part of the student’s 4 block day, or in some cases, as a fifth block. The languages offered are varied and can be great for students who are strong in foreign language and/or those who are interested in international business, travel, foreign service, government service, the Peace Corps, or other global pursuits. Latin is also very helpful for students interested in the legal and medical professions. The courses are normally offered to juniors and seniors. It is one more way your son/daughter could begin their college career early and have credits as they enter college. The professors are excellent and the students who have taken these courses have really loved them.

Here are the classes being offered this spring (Jan 22- approx May 15). Cost is $650 payable to PMSD the first week of class plus students have to buy a text, which usually is used for levels I and II and part of III. Please let me know as soon as possible if your son/daughter has any interest for the spring semester. Also let me know if there is interest for future years. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask!
