Applications are open for the Lancaster General Health Student Volunteer Program.
Lancaster area high school juniors, at least 16 years of age, with a sincere interest in health care and a commitment to volunteering a minimum of 50 hours throughout the program are encouraged to apply.
Students may apply for the 2020 summer session (which runs June 8 – August 30) from March 2 – March 11, 2020. Application packages must be received in the Volunteer Office by March 11, 2020. Your graduation date must be 2021.
Summer student application will be available for download from March 2 – March 11, 2020.
Deadline for application packet submission in the Volunteer Office is March 11, 2020.
Interested students can begin working on student requirement steps 2, 3, 4 and 5 prior to downloading the application.

- Completed student volunteer application
- Documentation of immunization records
- Copy of recent high school transcripts to support the educational requirements of the selected health care career
- One-page essay explaining your interest in pursuing a career in the health care profession
- Letter of recommendation from a health care professional, high school guidance counselor, or other professional (not a relative) that speaks of your ability and dedication to serving others
- Signed parental consent on application
