Penn State PULSE Program

Applications for the PULSE Program at Penn State College of Medicine are open!

PULSE is a semester-long academic course for high schoolers passionate about the biomedical sciences taught at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The program aims to cultivate an interest in medicine, biomedical science, and healthcare systems science. Students can expect to learn like medical students through small, problem-based learning sessions, large group lectures, mentoring sessions, a tour of our research facilities, and an optional session in our human cadaver laboratory.

Interested students must submit an online application, a letter of recommendation, and an official transcript. The application and further instructions can be found on the Penn State University website at sites.psu.edu/hmcpulse.

This is a great learning experience and unique opportunity to collaborate with practicing physicians, medical students, and other high school students.

*Please come to the school counseling office to pick up a flyer if you are interested in this program.
