This award is given to one career prep student, one college prep student, and one honors student every month. These students are nominated and chosen by the Math Department on the basis of their hard work and leadership in the math classroom. They will have their pictures posted in the Math Wing for the month and will each receive a coupon for a free MTO at Sheetz.
Erica Shaub is receiving this award as a result of her diligence and hard work in Honors Geo/Trig. She have been faithful in completing every assignment promptly and accurately, and have regularly submitted your weekly reviews early to get them checked. She is not afraid to ask questions when she has them and takes ownership of her own learning by ensuring that she understands each topic that was covered. Her persistence and attention to detail have allowed her to earn a perfect score on all but two assignments. Keep striving for excellence in everything you do and keep up your positive attitude, Erica, and you will go far!
Luis Sanchez is receiving this award because his ability to comprehend the skills and concepts being taught in Intro Algebra B is superb. His work ethic is also something that is noteworthy; classwork, homework and other assignments are completed to perfection or near perfection all of the time. His high school math teachers are very impressed with him and look forward to watching his skills continue to develop and grow in years to come.
Courtney Frey has done an excellent job so far in College Prep Algebra II. She completes all of your assignments on time and very accurately. More importantly, she is a great addition to the class. She volunteers often, she ask good questions, and she is very helpful to the teacher and to your classmates. She has an A average so far, and her teacher knows that she will keep it up!
