June 4: Last Day of Kindergarten (regular school hours)
June 5: Last Day Grades 1-6 (11:30 dismissal/no breakfast or lunch)

What we are learning…

Math: We will continue our math stations which will review concepts learned throughout the year. 

Word Study: Our sight words this week are by, my, and do . We will continue to work with S-Blends and review L-Blends. Finishing up our magic “e” work, we will sort long and short vowel sound words and create silent e words by adding an e to nonsense words. 

Writing: Students will practice upper and lowercase letter formation, sight words, and completing a 5 star sentence. They will use their writing strategies to create a summer bucket list.

Reading: Students will continue to be assessed with their Rainbow Words. We will meet with our reading groups 1 or 2 times this week to finish up our stories and reading activities. 

Science: Our focus this week are the states of matter. Students will explore what matter is and that it is all around us. We will learn the 3 states of matter and use our 5 senses to identify their properties. We will end the week by seeing how a root beer floats has all 3 states of matter. Ask your child about it on Friday.
