Penn Manor Online Resources

The online resources prepared by Penn Manor are now available. I want to share with you how these materials were prepared, what my role is, and what we are asking from parents and guardians.

Last week, grade level teams were tasked with preparing 2 math, 2 ELA, 1 science and 1 social studies project/task that would only involve enrichment and review. The reasoning for enrichment and review revolves around the need to provide equitably educational opportunities for all students.

Additionally, the resources were created by teams of teachers each focusing on different content areas. This means that the resources are not specifically created for specific classrooms. The resources were also created in such a way as to be mindful of the resource limitations of students at home.

Over the next seven days, I am able to provide guidance and feedback for the resources that have been created. To do this, students are free to email me and post their projects or tasks on Google Classroom so that I might provide them feedback. I have created assignments on Google Classroom that correspond to each of the district tasks. Please do not hesitate to reach out or have your child reach out for guidance or feedback with what they might be working on. Additionally, while I cannot provide specific assignments for students at Khan Academy, know that students will always have access to Khan and will be able to work on mastering or extending their math learning using Khan Academy.

While we move forward, you are welcome to provide feedback that can then be passed on to Dr.Cox and the district administrators. They have shared that they are open to feedback that you might provide to us.

As always, thank you for your time as we continue to determine what the new normal looks like over the coming weeks.
