I am so excited to announce that we are going to have a class google meet tomorrow! This may get a little crazy having so many people together, but here are some tips!

Below is a google meet link. If you are using the computer to connect, please click on the link below. There is also a dial in option, with a PIN number to enter when prompted if you are using your phone for audio only. Please hover at the bottom of the screen and turn your microphone off by clicking on the microphone icon. When you want to speak, please turn it back on by clicking the icon again. Turning the mic off when the teacher is speaking helps from the distraction of background noise. Each child will get a turn to talk and ask any questions they may have.

I do have some important updates for parents concerning completion and turn in procedures for remote learning activities, so we are asking that a parent or adult be in the room when we are meeting. Our meeting topics will then be posted on the blog.

Penn Manor Online Learning Resources Now Available!

Hello Penn Manor families,

Penn Manor educators have developed continuity of education plans to help students continue learning from home while our schools are closed.

Here is a link to the resources.

These are optional, ungraded learning activities that students can complete from home. The resources have been developed to meet a variety of students’ needs and may not be the same across our school district.

Teachers will also be accessible to students and parents and will respond to any questions about the learning activities in a timely manner.

Currently, schools are scheduled to reopen on April 9th, but that date may change depending on Governor Wolf’s orders.

Thank you for your support of your child’s education in this challenging time.

Happy Holidays!

This starts one of the most exciting times in first grade! The holiday season is a fun time to complete lots of crafts and fun activities! I am excited to share this time together with our first graders! As the holiday season approaches, our class will be learning about how the holiday season is celebrated throughout the world.  We have a lot of fun things planned for first grade!  If you have a cultural holiday custom that you would like to share, I encourage you to let me know, and I would love to have you come to our class or send items in to teach us about it! If this applies to you, please contact me.  Also during this season, I wish to be sensitive to all family’s beliefs. If you would like to talk to me with any concerns, please feel free to contact me.  Thank you and I look forward to this season!
