If you are interested in receiving Power Packs for the summer, beginning Thursday, June 21, please contact Deb Meckley (717-201-9945) or Joy Meley (717-201-9934). Applications will be available next week and sent with current Power Packs participants.
The Power Packs program is designed to help families stretch their grocery budget dollars, prepare low-cost, nutritious meals for their families over the weekend, and nurture children so they can be healthy and ready to learn in school on Monday mornings.
What you will receive each week by enrolling: A recipe and the main ingredients to make one weekend meal. Also, 8-9 grocery items, including protein and fresh produce. A quart of milk and helpful tips for healthy living.
Families must qualify for free and reduced-price school lunches to participate and commit to picking up each week at the designated site they choose. Applications can be returned to any of the school offices. Power-Packs-Application-Packet
