Our Central Manor chorus and band rehearsals will be starting soon. Chorus is open to any interested 5th and 6th graders. We rehearse in the music room on Tuesdays at 8:00am. Our first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Students should get a sign up sheet from Mrs. Repkoe in music class.

Band rehearsals will be held on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 am in the music room, starting on Wed September 24, 2014. This is a change from the cycle day schedule used last year. Band members will be given information sheets when they attend their first music class this year.

All participants should be dropped off at the front doors where they may wait between the doors until the inner doors are unlocked. Please do not drop students off earlier than 7:45.

I hope that we have lots of musicians participating in these groups this year!

On September 3, 2014 at 6:30pm the Penn Manor music department will be hosting an information session about instrumental lessons. This session will be held in the high school auditorium. Students and parents will learn more about the registration procedure for lessons, listen to the sounds of instruments played by music teachers, and have the opportunity to talk to music vendors about instrument rentals. All 4th grade students will be given a packet to take home on either on August 25 or 26. They should return the bottom portion of the cover sheet and attend the info night. If students and parents are unable to attend, they can mark that choice on the sheet and further information will be sent home.
