Chorus Rehearsals 2022
Finally, after nearly two years, Central Manor chorus is returning. Interested 5th and 6th grade students will get a sign up/information sheet in music class. We will rehearse on Tuesday mornings at 8:15 in the music room on March 22, March 29, April 5, April 12, April 19 and April 26. Our performance opportunity will be at the CM Art Show/Music night on Tuesday, April 26. More details about the time of performance will be shared at rehearsal. Hope to see many chorus members!!
It is so great to be back in school and starting to see all of your wonderful, masked faces.
If you are in first or second grade, you will have the same special every day until the beginning of October. Mrs. Mader’s class has music for the first rotation.
Students in grades 3-6 will have the same special for whichever days they are in school physically. When your group is not in school, you can log on to your grade level’s music google classroom and work on the posted activity for the week. The following classes have music for the first rotation and have been sent emails inviting them to join the Music Google class: Mrs. Wise, Mrs. Wiggins, Miss Winder and Mrs. Schoelkopf.
I look forward to making music with you and I’m so glad that we can see each other again!
Hi Central Manor musicians. I hope that you are finding ways to stay musical at home. Please check out the remote learning activities on our Penn Manor website. The elementary music tab has activities for each grade level and also lists my email :sarah.repkoe@pennmanor.net and “office hours” of 11:30-12:30 where I will be available to answer questions.
Stay safe! Be sure to sing or listen to music while we are not in school!
Our Spring concert will be on Tuesday, April 7 at 7pm at Central Manor. Performers will receive a paper with more information soon. Participants will include band, chorus and Grade 1.
Look for a reminder sheet soon.
We will be starting our rehearsals for strings, band and chorus this week. Ms. Almoney and I are looking forward to working with our ensembles this semester.

Band–Wednesday, January 15
Chorus, Thursday, January 16
See you then!
Thank you to all of our student musicians and families. We had a great concert on Wednesday, December 4.
Our string players will have before school rehearsal on Tuesday, December 10.
Band will resume on January 15, and Chorus will resume on January 16.
Reminder: If there is any type of weather delay, rehearsal is canceled for that day and will meet at the next scheduled time.
Thanks and have a great holiday!
Our Central Manor Holiday concert is coming up soon. It will be held on December 4 at 7pm at Central Manor. Band, Strings, Chorus and Grade 3 will be performing. Your performer should have brought a reminder letter home.
Here are the times and places for students on December 4:
Strings–6:30 in lobby by 5th grade
Band–6:45 in lobby by 5th grade
Chorus–6:45 in hallway by Mr. Birch’s room
Third grade–6:45 in their classrooms, except Mrs. Collins class should report to Mrs. Wise’s room. Please note that supervision for 3rd grade will not begin until 6:45, so students should remain with parents until that time.
Thanks and we are looking forward to a great concert.
Our Central Manor chorus will begin rehearsing on Thursday, September 26 at 8:15 in the music room. Parents should drop students off at the front door no earlier than 8:05. Students will be able to enter the area between the double doors at that time. I will come to let students in at about 8:05. After 8:05, students should ring the bell at the office and Mrs. Smith will let them in.
After rehearsal in the music room, breakfast students will be dismissed at 8:45, others will be dismissed at 8:50 to their classrooms.
I am looking forward to another year of making great music together.
Thanks to all student musicians and parents for a great year of rehearsals and concerts at Central Manor. We were able to participate in the combined choral concert, Central Manor concert and combined band and orchestra concerts in April and the results were delightful!
We are now finished with our performances and before school rehearsals. Lesson groups will continue until the end of the school year.
Thanks for a great year of making music together!
