Today Julie and Donovan read stories to Mrs. Pollock.  The entire class then serenaded Mrs. Pollock with an all-time favorite, “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer!”

Check out Austin and Morgan reading to Mrs. Pollock.  She was ready to listen right away, prepared in her Christmas sweater!

Students in 1-S learned about some different holidays this week.  One highlight for students was playing the dreidel game, a common Hanukkah tradition.
   

We have some calendar changes coming up in January.  Due to our September “hurricane day” the secondary changeover inservice is moved to Tuesday, January 17th.  We were also scheduled to have an elementary early dismissal on the secondary changeover day.  Please plan accordingly.

The only way that this affects elementary students:
Friday, January 13 will be a full day (as of now, cycle day 3)
Tuesday, January 17 will be an early dismissal day at 1:30  (day 5, from the day we missed in early November)
