Parents: Please see that your child returns TWO important papers on Monday.
#1: The permission slip to attend the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Hambright Elementary School #2: The half-sheet of green paper for your child’s tee shirt size. You may want to order a size or two larger for your growing children!
We are extremely grateful to all who supported (and continue to support) our Race for Education. Because of the large amount of money donated so far, t-shirts will be ordered for ALL students, free of charge. And, Dr. Egan will be on the roof on Wednesday, May 8…..with some teachers too! 🙂
Ethan and Olivia R. both read to Mrs. Pollock last week. We had great discussions with her, especially about her dog and cat….and how they don’t always get along! We’ll miss her this week. We wish her and her daughter, Ms. Pollock, a safe trip to Las Vegas. We can’t wait to hear all about it!
It was great to see Mrs. Pollock after missing her last week (while she was in cold sunny Florida!). Lucas, Meghan, and Lailani read small “StoryTown” books to Mrs. Pollock this week. Way to go readers!
Thank you to the families and special guests who attended our Poetry Celebration last Thursday. The first graders enjoyed sharing their poetry anthologies with each one of you!
Help! First grade families were asked to supply some materials for school this year. One of the supplies was glue sticks. Today we found that several students were missing glue sticks. Unfortunately, this is not an item that is in our school budget. Ask your child if he/she has a glue stick in his/her toolbox. If not, put one on your grocery/dollar tree/CVS list. We’ll still need glue for the last marking period.
