Spring Pictures….Take 3
Will be on Thursday, April 17. If you have any more envelopes to order pictures, please send them in. Thank you!
Snowy St. Patrick’s Day
Top o’ the morning to you! (that’s the leprechaun in me)
Due to the slippery conditions, and 1/2 inch of snow in some parts of the district, we have a two-hour delay today with modified kindergarten. I’m assuming our Spring Pictures will be moved again, as our time was 10:05. If I hear otherwise, I’ll post another message.
Thanks!
Senses Safari
The amazing, wonderful, generous Hambright PTO treated the first graders to a visit from the Hands-On House on Thursday. (The PTO….who is raising funds through the Race for Education….you still have a few days left to get any potential donors by sending in labels with your child by Monday, March 10!). Our presenter, Mrs. Mowery, was my kindergarten teacher many many years ago. It is so much fun to show my love of teaching to someone who started me off in my education! All students had a BLAST, learning about their own senses, and the senses of some amazing animals. Ask your child their favorite part of the day. They brought home a brochure with the Hands-on House schedule, as well as a sheet with a FREE coupon for child admission through the end of May. Hopefully you can all make it there and enjoy some fun family time!
Here are some pictures from the day.

Special Celebration
Our class completed the Revision unit in our writing series. After working hard to add dialogue, revise our leads, “show, not tell,” revise our endings, etc…. students were extremely proud of their small moment pieces. We celebrated on Wednesday with a revision museum in morning kindergarten. Mrs. Vitti’s leaders were active listeners and they were amazed at the first grade stories. Here are a few of the great moments from the morning. Keep it up leaders!
