Wear Red!
Hambright students are encouraged to wear RED this Wednesday, October 29. This is to support National “Red Ribbon Week” and be proud that we are drug-free!
Scholastic Book Orders
Today your child will bring home 4 flyers with Book Orders. They are: “See Saw” for November, “1st Graders” for November, a Holiday Gift Book catalog, and “Sir Readalot’s Castle.” The due date is next Friday, October 31. Orders can be placed online, or in an envelope. Make selections on the order form, with checks payable to “Scholastic Reading Club.” Please note that there are other selections available online. If you click on the tab above, the page for “Book Clubs” will appear. There you will find more information to navigate to the Book Clubs site. Many other books are available, many more than I receive catalogs for! When you need gifts for older or younger children, gifts for cousins, etc., they can be found there as well!
Let me know if you have any questions. Happy Reading!
What Fun!
Calling All Stuffed Animals!
Stuffed Animal Day!
Congratulations! The students earned 25 baseballs on our “Catching Compliments” poster, for the first time this year. They voted and chose to have a “Stuffed Animal Day.” This Friday, October 17, each student may bring in 1 (one) stuffed animal to share. If it is small, and will not cause a distraction, it may stay with the student throughout the day. We prefer that it fits into the child’s backpack. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by note, phone, or email.
