Just a Friendly Reminder…

Our students will go outside for recess unless it is raining or snowing.  Our new school location is beautiful, with many open fields around us.  Nice to look at, quieter than Columbia Ave. traffic,…..but it also allows for much wind to blow across the open field.  Thank you for seeing that your child is dressed appropriately for the colder temps coming!

Also, a reminder that I will not be in school on Wednesday, November 19.  If you have a change in routine, or any need to get in touch, please send a note to the substitute or make a phone call to the office.  I will have limited access to email during this time and will not be able to relay all messages.

Spelling test and Book Exchange on Thursday when I return! 🙂

Thank you!

Visitor

On Thursday, our special visitor was my niece, Claudia.  A fourth grader, her school in New Jersey was closed Thursday and Friday.  On her day off, she wanted to spend some time in her aunt’s first grade classroom.  The students loved asking questions to get to know her a little bit.  They enjoyed reading with her, working on computers, writing and drawing, etc.  Thanks for being such welcoming friends Leaders!
