Jumping for Joy! And for Heart Disease!

The first graders were sooooo excited for today’s Jump Rope for Heart session.  From the looks of it, first grade alone raised a ton of money!  Let’s see how much the older grades bring in, and hopefully send Dr. Egan to the ceiling!  I was not there for the entire time, but was able to snap a few quick pictures today.  Thanks to Mrs. Barnett for organizing this awesome event.  Way to go Heart Heroes!

Snow Day Changes

Penn Manor is closed today, Tuesday, February 17.

-Information about tonight’s School Board meeting will be decided later today.
-And the students will not have a substitute teacher!
-I’m sure that the picture day will be re-scheduled AGAIN!
-Jump Rope for Heart will now be MONDAY, February 23.
-Hambright Talent Show dress rehearsal is Thursday after school.  The Talent Show will be next Tuesday, the 24th.
-I believe the next snow-make-up day is March 23.

Enjoy the day off, read some books, write stories, daydream, create, read a few more books, cook/bake, just have fun!

Day 100 Fun

Here are some pictures of the excitement produced by the 100th day of school!  First there are 3 pictures of students proudly displaying their projects.  After that, some pictures of students enjoying soft pretzels from Auntie Anne’s!  And finally a number of pictures where students worked at some stations.  Enjoy!

Two Reminders

Tuesday is our Spring Picture Day.  Students will have their class and individual picture taken in the morning, before eating lunch or going outside.  Yaaay!  Bring your smiles!

Also, just a reminder about Valentine’s Day cards.  I do have a small amount of valentine notes, if your child needs help in filling them out.  Just let me know!

Report Card Information

Today your first grader will bring home his or her second marking period report card. Please take time to read through the information in the packet.  All we ask of you is to sign the outside of the envelope so that we know you received it.  There is also a “Comment Sheet” inside the envelope.  Feel free to write any comments or questions you have on this.  Your child can return the two things as soon as you are ready to.  The other papers are yours to keep.  Just return the comment sheet and signed envelope soon.  Thank you!
