Book Exchange!

Due to our early dismissal Friday, our class will not have book exchange.  Mrs. Etzweiler was kind enough to fit us into her schedule TOMORROW, THURSDAY, MARCH 26!!!  Your children received a few reminders, but please help them to make sure the school’s library book is in your child’s bookbag.  Thank you!

Wanted!

It’s that time of year…..we are running out of:

-Tissues

-Hand Sanitizer
-Snacks (Thanks to the families who provide snack for your children.)

If you are out this week at all and see some sales, we’d appreciate any donations you can make to 1-S.  Thanks!

Senses Safari!

Thanks to the PTO’s funds (Race for Education!!!), the Hands-on House came to Hambright!  The students had a blast exploring the five senses and how animals use them.  Mrs. Mowery (my kindergarten teacher many many years ago) was our presenter and we had 4 special grown-ups from first grade families help to facilitate the lesson.  We had a blast!

This week news!

Reminder:  Monday (tomorrow) is our visit from the Hands-on House.  Thank you to the parent volunteers!  Please arrive by 1:10.  Our session runs from 1:15-2:15.  Thanks for helping the hour of fun run smoothly!

On Wednesday, students will have a substitute.  I have meetings in the district that day.  Please remember to write a note or call the school, as I may not be able to answer emails that day.

Thursday is our Roller Skating Party at the Castle!  I will give each student a free ticket for skate rental.  The PTO is paying for skate rental for Hambright students (ONLY Hambright students NOT younger or older siblings).  They must hand in their tickets to receive the free skates.

Hambright Skating party:

Castle Rollerskating Rink 5:30-8:00pm

**All students MUST have an adult present the whole time. (an adult is someone 18 or older- not a 16 year old sibling)

** Only for Hambright students and their immediate families (not cousins etc).

We are also collecting toiletries for PM Cares so encourage students to think Win-win and bring an item to donate.

Here’s to having TWO full weeks in a row! Spring is in the air!

No School

The weather sure hasn’t cooperated with us this week.  School is closed for today, Friday, March 5. I assume our Easter weekend is now just a Friday.  Our last snow make-up day is scheduled for Monday, April 6.  Stay indoors today and stay safe and I’ll see your kiddos on Monday!
