Our Race for Education is coming! In January, we will begin to prepare for our 6th annual Race for Education. This is our largest and most profitable fundraiser EVER! Last year we raised over $21,000 for our school. Our kick-off day will be February 3rd however we need to begin with the end in mind and begin copying and assembling packets for every student in our school.
On January 9th we are asking for volunteers to help us make preparations (copying, stapling, etc). If you can help us, please sign up via our sign up genius link:

Important: You do NOT need clearances to help us do preparations for our Race for Education HOWEVER if you intend to help on Race Day (May 5th) you WILL need your clearances. Please see a building secretary for information on how to obtain your clearances.
If you have any questions, please email us at ptohambright@gmail.com
Thank you!

On Monday, students will have their spelling test, AND it’s our last Book Exchange before the break. Please remember to bring your library book, so you can exchange it. You’ll want a great new book to read over the long break from school. 🙂
Today was our class’s BEST ART CLASS EVER!!! Mrs. Wigerman was singing their praises this afternoon. Parents, please remember to praise your child tonight. Ask your student about the day. Perhaps: How did you feel in art class? What did you do to help create such a win-win atmosphere? How can you continue this fantastic leader behavior?
You should be proud of your children, as I am every day. Keep up the awesome efforts!
Today the girls and boys had a super fun time playing the dreidel game. Instead of money, they used teddy bear counters. 🙂 This was a great way to show leadership qualities, when thinking win-win!

On Wednesday, your child will bring home a form for December book orders. You can order online (easiest method) by following the tab above labeled “BOOK CLUBS.” Just a reminder, as with any month…if you would like to keep the books a secret, just let me know. You may want to keep them a surprise and they will be a gift. If I do not hear from you, the books will go home with your child as soon as they arrive at school. Thank you!
