Monthly Archives: January 2018

A few reminders:

Friday is “Wear Red Day” to support the American Heart Association.  If you would like to/can support the AHA monetarily, be sure to get those donations in (can be done online) to Mrs. Barnett.  Jump Rope for Heart is coming up.  We have a few students who already have earned some rewards for helping!

On Friday, students will also bring home their second marking period report cards.  Please review the information, write any comments on the comment sheet, and sign the envelope.  The signed envelope and comment sheet can come back to school at your earliest convenience (Monday if possible!).

Monday at Hambright is “Favorite Sports Team” day.  Regardless of the outcome of Sunday’s game, dress in an athletic shirt/outfit if you have one!

Day 100 projects are starting to roll in.  Great creative work so far!  Keep them coming until next week!

Two reminders:
Friday we will have book exchange.  Students should have their library books here at school in order to check out new books.  (It’s been a long time!)

Friday is hamBRIGHT day!  We will be looking for students (and teachers) wearing bright or neon clothing.  I bet I’ll need sunglasses!

Missing you guys! And we haven’t even really met!  Hope to see everyone on Thursday for our first day back.  Just a heads up……the menu for Thursday will not be chicken tenders.  Our fantastic cafeteria staff will be serving up the hamburgers that were on Wednesday’s menu.  The choices for B, C, and D lunch will remain the same for the week.

Hello First Graders and Families!

I am excited to be returning to the classroom tomorrow (weather permitting….I sure hope it does!).  Please take a look around the blog and remember to sign up to this blog.  Simply go to the right and type in your email under “subscribe by email.”  You will then be immediately alerted to any posts I add to this page!  It’s as simple as that!

Also, if you would like to be added to my email blast, please send me an email at:  Your email will not be shared with anyone else, but you’ll receive direct messages from me each week.

Thank you in advance.  I’m looking forward to a great second half of the year!
